Thanks to the Rotarians that helped run the stand all weekend, Rich Burcham & the city of Logan for working with us!

Sheila Wolfe updated our club on Monday regarding the status of the Logan Theater building. The second and third floors have been completely renovated! The third floor has a large open room with a stage where the Hocking County Children's Chorus just performed Fiddler on the Roof! The second floor is going to host a community arts center this summer run by LHSD. Fundraising is underway for the last piece, the Theater! Great job Sheila! 😄

Last week our guest speaker was Peggy Murgatroyd updating us on District 6690 Kick Cancer program. This is a growing endowment fund that donates to the James Cancer research center for the ultimate goal of finding a cure for cancer. Last year they were able to donate $9000 of interest to the James. Every club in the district helps support this very worthy cause, and we were able to present a check to Peggy at the end for $150! We then had another member step up and donate personally! We really have a great group of Rotarians! Great work Peggy! 😊

Bill Boone and Andy Good updated our club on the plans for the Washboard Festival for 2021. After being canceled last year due to COVID, restrictions have been lifted and the Washboard Fest is scheduled for June 17th -19th! Andy stated there is a lineup of some new and exciting bands this year. Bill has put together an Artisan Demonstration featuring sculptors from all over the world that will auction off their work at the end. Great work Bill & Andy!
