Hey Rotarians and Friends! The City Recreation Board has asked for help on Mingo Park Clean Up Day! This Sunday (April 28) from 1p to 4p we will be helping get Mingo Park ready for the Summer Season! Tools will be supplied, but if you have your own, please bring them along! Wear gloves, hats, sunscreen and clothes you can get dirty!! See you Sunday!

Annual Pancake Feast - Logan Ohio Rotary Club

Mark your calendar! Saturday, May 4th 2019 with mark our 50th annual Pancake Feast! This year we will be located at the Fair Grounds in conjunction with the Urban Air event downtown Logan.

3/25/2019 - Andrew McGhee and Dan Fischer were presented their 125 Achievement Awards by District 6690 AG Jenny Stotts. Program today was given by Rotarian Jill Squires. Jill is the superintendent of the Hocking County Board of Development Disabilities. The agency is responsible for 254 individuals in Hocking County supports all with disabilities from prenatal throughout their life. They are also very involved with the community with their clients helping raise money for other organizations like the Humane Society. 1/28/19 - Rotarian Jim Robinson invited mayor Greg Fraunfelter to update the club about projects going on in town including water meters, paving and the water treatment facility.

3/18/19 - Rotarian Mike McGreevy invited Commissioner Gary Waugh to be our guest speaker. Gary grew up in Haydenville and started out his career as an Insurance Adjuster. Wanting a change, Gary applied for a new federal job to become a Sky Marshal. Sky Marshals were assigned to high risk flights or protection detail. He landed the job and his first flight was a 17hr trip to Tokyo. He was later promoted as a Special Agent and eventually promoted to a Division Director. Thanks for sharing Gary!

3/11/2019 - Rotarian Chad Grow invited HVCH CEO Stacey Gabriel to update our club about recent changes at the hospital. The hospital is currently in the process of moving to the new electronic medical records system called Epic and will be completed this year. Hocking County residents are now also eligible for financial assistance for incomes up to 400% of the federal poverty level. On April 8th, they will be welcoming the newest member of their team, Beth Clooney, who will be the new CNO. Last but not least, the cafeteria will also be getting a face lift in 2019!
